Winter has been in full swing for months now, yet it's  still a good time to take a look at warm comfort foods with a twist of good health. See the recipe section for suggestions and recipes for those cold winter days.  As pictured above, dressing warmly for activities is a must, don't  let that blustry weather get the best of you. It's a great time to enjoy and explore the outdoors.  Regular exercise is not only good for a healthy heart, it can be fun, a family affair, and develops positive habits to last a lifetime.

We are doing all we can to help get kids learning ready!
Farmington Municipal School District is committed to helping students establish and maintain lifelong, healthy eating habits.  As a district, we believe a child who is physically healthy is more likely to be academically motivated, alert and successful.Offering breakfast and lunch every full school day,  as well as integrating nutrition education throughout the curriculum, we encourage consistent messages about healthy eating. Physical education and activity partner with district nutrition activities  as part of the FMS School Health, Wellness and Prevention Policy. Our school food service program complies with all federal, state & local requirements.  We offer varied & nutritious food choices that are consistent with the federal government's Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
